Impetus Wealth Advisors - What now 3

What now 3?

by Martin de Bruyn, CFA, CFP®

In the previous memo I alluded to focusing on things that you can control. Now, I would like to look at what those things might be, practically speaking. Lockdown can be used as a useful time to reflect and perhaps tie up some loose ends in your financial plan. I recently worked on my plan just to ensure that everything is in place to grow and protect my family’s wealth and it makes me sleep better to know that my plan is well thought through and up to date. Here are the services that we offer which you may not be aware of. Some are very interrelated but can also stand on their own.

Our Offering:

Fiduciary Services (Will drafting and estate planning, trust administration and legal agreements)

Risk Planning (Life, Dread disease and disability insurance – personal and business)

Employee Benefits (Investment consulting, advice, life risk insurance for corporate employees)

Tax planning and administration*

Accounting (financial statements, payroll etc.)*

Medical aid and gap cover*

Short-term insurance*

Investment planning and advice

There is great value to be had from good financial advice. Through various studies as per the sources listed below, it is shown that good financial planning and advice can add up to 4.4% of additional return per annum. This is over and above the softer issue benefits. I will elaborate on the value-add as per the academic studies in a future memo.

We are open for business, so please feel free to refer friends, family and associates who may benefit from our independent, holistic wealth planning services.

* Some of these services are partially or wholly outsourced to trusted associates.
